How to Unlock the Grill and Cook Fish

The Desert Island's Grill master request involving Blue Shark unlocks the grill. Cook ordinary catches for a value boost, inspect the item as it heats, and remove it before burning. Do not experiment with a unique boss body needed for the story.

What to do

  1. Reach Desert and speak to the Grill master. Treat the Blue Shark request as separate from the Pufferfish story route.
  2. Prepare the bait and equipment shown on the Blue Shark record; beat the encounter and complete the NPC request before expecting grill access.
  3. Try cooking a disposable regular catch first. Inspect it while heating instead of relying on a fixed number of seconds.
  4. Sell only after confirming the cooked item is still valuable. Overcooking at the grill can burn it and reduce value.
  5. For later money runs, combine better lures and a repeatable Killscore finish before cooking; keep quest trophies out of that loop.
