How to Beat Pufferfish and Unlock Rocks

Exchange an endangered creature for the Carrot, then use that bait to trigger Pufferfish. Keep moving, use terrain to break the chase and damage it without losing track of the escape timer. Preserve the Fin for the next-island hand-in.

What to do

  1. Complete the Tourist exchange and confirm the Carrot before preparing the boss attempt.
  2. Bring healing and a ranged weapon you can fire while repositioning; avoid consuming the bait during an underfunded attempt.
  3. Use the Carrot to start the encounter and keep a route around solid terrain instead of standing in open ground.
  4. Continue moving through the chase and poison pressure, firing during safe windows while watching the fight's escape condition.
  5. Collect the Pufferfish Fin, keep it out of the sale or cooking loop, and return it for the Rocks coordinates.
