How to Fish Beginner Route: What to Do First

Start on Lighthouse: complete the opening NPC request, keep the returned Empty Beer Can, defeat Spider Crab, then hand its meat to the Lighthouse Keeper. Buy and use the Radar after receiving boat keys. Repeat the NPC → bait → boss → protected drop → next marker loop on each island.

What to do

  1. Speak to the Lighthouse NPCs before spending your first money. The opening quest produces the Empty Beer Can used for the first story boss.
  2. Use the Crab Fishing Rod with the quest bait, prepare healing, and fight Spider Crab on land. Keep its meat instead of selling it.
  3. Return the meat for boat keys. Use the Radar marker for Forest; an island route is not a fixed numeric coordinate.
  4. At every new island, inspect its shop. Ordinary lure and boss lure are separate purchases with different purposes.
  5. Track regular and Drip catches as you go, but postpone optional collection farming until your story route and equipment are stable.
